Elisa "Lisa" Kracht Obituary

Elisa “Lisa” Nan Kracht, 64, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Baptist Health Center in Little Rock following a brief illness.  Lisa was born on May 21, 1957, in Crossett to her parents, J.W. and Nancy McArthur Harris.

Lisa had a long and successful career in the advertising and marketing fields.  She worked for various advertising agencies and television stations in the Monroe, Louisiana market, excelling in many areas of her field from sales to creative.  She also worked for several years at CenturyTel as a media buyer for over 50 U.S. markets.  Lisa’s passion, however, was video production.  She spent several fulfilling years producing safety and training videos for companies such as Georgia Pacific and Libbey Glass.

Her strong love for animals led her to a position on the board for the Ouachita Humane Society.  There, she helped produce numerous public service announcements for the shelter which ran on local television stations for many years.

Lisa gave her full heart to all she met.  She had an immense amount of love for life, her family, and her friends. Her first love, however, was for Jesus.  If you met her, you knew that her desire was to love all she encountered like Jesus would.  Even though Lisa endured unspeakable tragedy in her life, it was her unshakeable faith in God that got her through the darkest times.  She wanted everyone to know the Lord and would always say, “it’s as simple as John 3:16,” which was her favorite Bible verse.

She had a compassion for all people and never met a stranger.  Even if someone met her just once, they would never forget her.  It didn’t matter if it was a homeless person or the waitress who was having a hard day, she truly cared for each person and strived to make an impact on their life in some way.  If you were a friend of Lisa’s, then you were truly blessed.  She was a GOOD and LOYAL friend.  She would always go out of her way to make you feel special.

She had many loves and passions.  She loved gardening and taking plants that anyone else would toss away and nurturing them back to life was her particular talent.  She loved being outdoors and spending the day rock hunting with her daughter in the mountains and streams was her absolute favorite pastime.

She enjoyed researching alternative medicine and treatments and sharing her findings, and whether it was homemade soap, or discovering some wonderful supplement or new gadget, she would discover it long before anyone else had even heard of it.

Lisa is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, Barry Kracht; her sons, Eric and Jeremy Ross; her mother, Nancy Harris; and her sister, Shelley Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Rachel Kracht; her father and stepmother, J.W. and Betty Harris; and one brother, Paul Harris; along with two grandchildren, one nephew, Joshua Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends.
