Ella Faye Ferguson, 75, of Crossett, passed away on August 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on January 16, 1947, to her parents, Homer and Sicily Slater McCrory, and was a member of the North Crossett First Baptist Church.
Over the years, Ella worked at various jobs around the county including the Hamburg Shirt Factory, Shipping Systems, and Stage.
Ella enjoyed working on crafts and décor, traveling with her husband, fishing, and especially singing Karaoke. She was quite a talented singer and loved using her talent to serve God by singing in the church choir.
She was a loving and caring woman of God with a great sense of humor and being “Meme” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren made her life complete.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse and Roger McCrory, and infant, Benjamin McCrory; and her twin sister, Della Slaughter.
She leaves behind her loving husband of fifty-three years, Bill Ferguson of Crossett; and three sons, David Ferguson (Liz) also of Crossett, William Ferguson (Mary) of Clarksville, TN, and Hal Ferguson (Lana) of Norphlet, AR; along with fifteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 29th at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Pastors Robin Allen and Garrett Fox, officiating followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Alan Ferguson, Cody Ferguson, Ethan Ferguson, Evan Ferguson, Jennifer Ferguson, Aaron Martin, and Michael Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Sam Finney, Larry Hudson, and Malcolm Lee.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, at Medders Funeral Home.
