Ellis was a man of many talents and interests. A self-taught musician, he skillfully played the piano and organ, bringing joy to those around him and his church. In his younger years he also enjoyed his CB Radio and was known by his handle "Music Man,". In addition, Ellis enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and will fondly be remembered for his strong Christian leadership, which impacted his family and friends.
