Obituary

Frances Jeanette Oden, 70, formerly of Crossett, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the UT Health Center in Tyler, TX.  She was born in Avon, Mississippi, on March 19, 1952, to her parents, Tom and Eula Walls Rochell.

Jeanette was an Eastern Star and worked for over twenty years as the Operational Manager of Goody’s Department Store.  She was a very hard worker and in her free time, she enjoyed reading romance novels.

Jeanette was a kind and loving mother who remained devoted to her family but would also help anyone in need.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Roy Eugene Oden; one sister, Betty Oden; and three brothers, Tom, James, and Wayne Rochell.

She leaves behind her two sons, Roy Michael Oden (Candy) of Jonesboro, AR, and Joseph Eugene Oden of Joaquin, TX; along with two sisters, Doris Hester of Mountain Home, AR, and Mary Jane Rushing of Jennings, LA; one brother, Curtis Rochell of Deer Park, TX; and one grandson, Michael Anthony Oden of Colorado.

A Private Graveside Service will be held with Bro. Joey Meredith officiating.
