Frank Brumley, 70, of Crossett, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the Life Touch Hospice Center of El Dorado. He was born in De Queen, Arkansas on November 7, 1946, to his parents, Lawrence and Madge McKaughan Brumley. He was raised in Crossett and worked for Georgia Pacific as a shipping clerk in the tissue mill for 44 years until his retirement in 2008. He enjoyed crappie fishing, was an avid deer hunter, and a devoted member of Harmony Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, where he will be missed immensely. Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who adored his family, and most importantly, loved the Lord.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence R. Brumley, Sr., and Lura Madge McKaughan Brumley; and two brothers, Larry Brumley and Daniel Brumley.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Sue Jordan Brumley of Crossett; five sons, Gerald Franklin Brumley of New Blaine, AR, Scott David Brumley and wife, Mary Ann of Lonoke, AR, James Michael Brumley and wife, Kendall of Hamburg, Steven Bruce Sharp of Crossett, and Philip Sharp and wife, Kristin of Crossett; one daughter, Stacey Hammons and husband, John also of Crossett; two sisters, Irma Carrara of Hot Springs, and Mary Cupit of Liberty, MS; thirteen grandchildren, Tina Louise Rice, Jessica, Olivia, Matthew, Brittney, Dylan, and Isabel Brumley, Allison Hammons, Roxie Thacker, Steven Sharp, II, Zane Sharp, and Madison and Logan Sharp; along with 4 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24th at the Medders Funeral Home Chapel, 1564 Hwy 52 W., in Crossett with Bro. Allen Eppinette and Bro. Dale Jordan officiating, followed by an interment at Rolfe Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jerry Neathery, Mike Middlebrooks, Harry Gee, Wayne Gilbreath, Steven Sharp, and Steven Sharp, II. Honorary pallbearers are Philip Sharp, Earl Carter, Philip Patterson, and John Hammons.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Medders Funeral Home.
