Fred Sisson, 87, of Quitman, Mississippi passed away on May 14, 2019 at his home in Crossett, Arkansas surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on December 5, 1931 to George and Lucy (Satcher) Sisson.
Fred was a career welder, beginning in the army until his retirement in 1989. He was a naturalist who enjoyed walking in the woods, tending to plants, hunting and fishing, but most of all spending time with his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always laughing and smiling.
Fred is survived by his brother, LeeRoy (Marie) Sisson; daughter, Susan Sisson; son, Donald (Krista) Sisson; and grandchildren, Jared (LeeAnn) Sisson and Amber Sisson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lamerle Sisson; parents, George and Lucy Sisson and his sister, Essie Mae Arrington.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2019, 5:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, 10:00 am at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bo Bankston officiating.
Burial will take place in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (Quitman).
Pallbearers will be Donald Sisson, Jared Sisson, Wesley Lewis, Gary Boone, Murray Ivey and Lance Middleton.
