Iris Ebarb Obituary

Iris Ebarb, 69, of Crossett, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016, at the CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.  She was born on November 7, 1947, to her parents, George Hiram and Audrey Marie Oden.  She was a lifelong resident of Crossett and a member of Eden Baptist Church.  Over the years, she worked as a waitress at numerous restaurants including Tiebel’s Café, The Wagon Wheel, and the Hollywood Steakhouse, which she was co-owner.  She had a compassionate soul, loved her Lord and family, and enjoyed family get-togethers.  She never missed singing “Happy Birthday” to each of her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews on their special day and her love was unconditional.  Although she never had a middle name, she called herself, “Iris Rose” and never met a stranger.  She loved to talk and cut-up and was extremely grateful for her husband, who she loved with all her heart.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Harold Ray Oden; one niece, Julia Rivers Cantillo; one aunt, Lillian Haygood; and her in-laws, John Trib and Viola Ebarb.

She is survived by her husband, John Leroy Ebarb of Crossett; two daughters, Charlotte Ebarb Outlaw of Hamburg and Candy Ebarb Bronson and husband Charles of Conway; one son Phil Ebarb and wife Abbey of Sherwood, AR; three step-sons, Tim Ebarb and wife Lisa of Springdale; Terry Ebarb of Crossett, and John Ebarb and wife Rochelle of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Betty Rabb and husband Jay of Crossett and Brenda Kay Blankenship and husband Steve of St. James, LA; one brother, Roy Eugene Oden and wife Jeanette of Joaquin, TX; nine grandchildren, Brittany Outlaw, Chase Outlaw, Ashley Harvey, Trey Ebarb, Tana Ebarb, Trib Ebarb, Toby Ebarb, Colby Ebarb, and Carter Ebarb; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 2nd at North Crossett First Baptist Church, 1035 Hwy 133 with Bro.
