Jack Wallace Obituary

Jack R. Wallace, 82, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2021, at the Ashley County Medical Center.  He was born in Warren, Arkansas on October 14, 1938 and was a 1958 graduate of LaPorte High School in Texas.  He was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church and worked for thirty-three years at the Georgia Pacific Plywood plant as a general electrician.

He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys fan and whenever he wasn’t in front of the television watching the game, he enjoyed visiting with his friends around town and drinking coffee with his Andy’s group.  “Mr. Jack”, as he was known to most, loved people, loved his family, and especially loved God.

He is preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Russell and Betty Wallace; his mother and stepfather, Clinton and Ona St. John Lyon, and one sister, Janice Wallace Wilkinson.

He leaves behind his wife of sixty-one years, Shirley “Jane” Wardlaw Wallace of Crossett; three daughters, Pam Kreamalmyer, Tammy Kilcrease and husband, Monty, and Jo Ann Frisby and husband, Richard, all of Crossett; two sisters, Linda Totty of Baytown, TX, and Patty Baugh of Deer Park, TX; along with ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 29, at the Medders Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donnie Dubose, officiating followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Lance Kreamalmyer, Joshua Kilcrease, Bradley Wallace, Jay Sled, Andrew Hinkle, Dylan Avery, and Stephen James Carter.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00p.m. prior to the service.

For those wishing to attend remotely, the service will be live-streamed on the Medders Funeral Home facebook page and uploaded to the Medders Funeral Home YouTube channel following the service.
