Jakeb Alan Gulledge, 23, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Nightingale facility in Crossett. Born on March 5, 2001, Jakeb brought light to all who knew him.
A 2020 graduate of Crossett High School, Jakeb’s academic journey included recognition as a star student in sixth grade with dreams of joining the U.S. Army, but his diagnosis of Juvenile Huntington’s Disease at nineteen changed his path. He remained resilient and found joy in his honorary role as a police officer. He also loved watching Audie Murphy movies, appreciating their tales of bravery.
Jakeb is survived by his devoted mother, Misti Gulledge Holland; his grandparents, Bill and Gayle Gulledge; his aunt and uncle, Suzi and Phil Ebarb; and one cousin, Ashlynn Ebarb all of Crossett; along with special friends, Neel Childress and Jordyn Whisler.
A Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22nd, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett.
A private memorial service to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mia Rose Garden Foundation, PO Box 400, Crossett, AR 71635.
