James Allen Lemley, Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the age of 83. Mr. Lemley was born on August 20, 1942, in Paragould, Arkansas.
James was a man who truly loved people, and in return, people loved him. He was a God-fearing man whose faith guided his life. Among his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing, activities that brought him great joy and allowed him to spend time enjoying the outdoors.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, James Allen Lemley, Jr. and Rickey Dewayne Lemley; one daughter, Kathy Denise Tucker; grandchildren, Christian Lemley (Emma), Abby Gail Elizabeth Long (Payton), Emily Holland (Darren), Anna Faith Lemley, Cody Tucker, and Brandon Tucker; three great-grandchildern, Thomas Mitchell Long, Taydon Everly Tucker and Mykaylynn Tucker; two brothers, Donald Lemley (Dorothy) and Jerry Lemley (Janet); two sisters, Arlene Hensley (David) and Ann Forrest (Paul); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Leo Lemley and Glenda Marie Qualls; one brother, Delbert Lemley; and two sisters, Helen Marie Lemley and infant sister, Melinda Joyce.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m.,Wednesday, June 3rd, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52W, in Crossett, with Pastor Cindy Norman officiating. A time of visitation will be from 1:00 -2:00 p.m., at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be at Centerpoint Cemetery, Collins Arkansas.
