James Parks, Jr., 41, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on September 1, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1984, in Crossett, to James and Bonnie Tanksley Parks.
James lived life to the fullest, always finding joy in the simple things. He loved hunting and fishing, spending time at the river, backroad riding, and listening to music. A true jack of all trades, he had a natural gift for working with his hands and especially enjoyed the challenge of taking apart electronics and putting them back together. Known for his fun-loving spirit and "crazy disposition," James never met a stranger and filled every room with laughter.
Above all, James cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and an adoring grandfather. His daughters and grandson were the light of his life.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, O.D. and Margaret Parks; his maternal grandfather, James F. Tanksley; and his brother, Joseph Frank Parks.
James is survived by his wife, Clarissa R. Parks of Crossett; two daughters, Sabrina Rachell Parks and Porsha Lynn Parks; his parents, James and Bonnie Parks; one grandson, Joey Ivory; four sisters, Tammy Stevensons, Alverta Johnson, Christy Ann King, and Tabitha Parks; and his maternal grandmother, Lavina Tanksley, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.
A memorial service will be held at 11 :00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Rolfe Chapel in Crossett, with Bro. Carlton White and Rickey Pack officiating. His beloved nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements are entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
