James Bernard “Jim” Knuckles, 77, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in Little Rock. He was born on December 29, 1946, in Chicago, IL, where he was raised alongside his five siblings.
Jim served briefly in the United States Army, an experience that highlighted his commitment to service and discipline. Following his military service, he embarked on a career as a self-employed entrepreneur, specializing in the buying, selling, dismantling, assembling, and transporting of printing equipment. His dedication to his work was matched only by his love for his family and his faith.
In his leisure time, Jim found joy in simple pleasures. He loved fishing, playing cards, and shooting pool—activities that brought him relaxation and camaraderie. His kind and soft-spoken nature made him a cherished friend and companion, and his intuitive insights earned him the respect and admiration of those around him.
Jim's greatest treasures were his faith and his family. His unwavering belief and devotion guided him through life, providing him with strength and purpose. His family was the center of his world, and his love for them was profound and steadfast.
Along with his parents, William and Cleo Maxine Taylor Knuckles, he is preceded in death by one brother, William Knuckles, Jr. “Bob”; and two sisters, Jeannie McMillan, and Billie Joyce Snyder.
