Janice Grayson Obituary

Janice Elaine Grayson, 65, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away peacefully. She was born August 6, 1960, in Lake Village, Arkansas, to Billy Joe Bridges and Earnestine McCroy Boyd.

Janice was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones. She enjoyed yardwork, cooking, deer hunting, and spending time outdoors. She also loved gathering with family and friends, sharing home-cooked meals, listening to music, and playing card games such as Rook and Spades for hours on end.

Janice was known for her generous and giving spirit. She had a heart for helping others and gave quietly and without recognition. Each Christmas, she made it a tradition to anonymously provide for a family in need. She faithfully donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project each month.

She enjoyed simple things like going out to eat oysters and was especially proud to own a Harley Davidson motorcycle in years past. From a young age, her vibrant personality shined through; she was known to be the life of the party everywhere she went.

Her faith was important to her, and she loved the Lord deeply. She found comfort in Christian music and cherished songs that reflected her beliefs and hope.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joe Grayson, Sr.; her son, Donald Glen Barnett, Jr.; her parents, Billy Joe Bridges and Earnestine McCroy Boyd; and her siblings, Billy Ray Bridges, Wanda Bond, Ann Bridges, and Gary Bridges.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dana Barker of Little Rock, Arkansas; her sister, Julie Morgan (Barry) of Crossett, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Paige Moffatt (Jared) of Hamburg, Arkansas, Delaney Barker of Raymore, Missouri, Joesy Glen Barnett, and Colton Burtley Barnett, both of Crossett, Arkansas; and one great-grandchild, Ellie Grace Moffatt.

Janice will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
