Jeffery Pennington Obituary

Jeffery Allen Pennington, 53, of Crossett, passed away at his home on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born on October 26, 1968, was a lifelong resident of Crossett, and attended Crossett High School.

He worked as a crane operator for many, many years, traveling to numerous places and making lots of lifelong friends along the way. He never met a stranger, EVER!  He was easy to love and get along with and would help anyone with anything they needed with no hesitation. There wasn't a thing in the world he couldn't fix and he was a big help to all of his friends and family with all of their vehicle needs or anything that needed repair.  Most of all, he loved his family and loved getting together during the holidays with everyone.

He had many hobbies, and his favorites included working on trucks, four wheelers, or really anything with a motor, listening to 80s rock, deer and duck hunting, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Razorbacks.   He was especially happy about being a dad to Briana and a new grandpa to Vander.  He never missed an opportunity to let everyone know how proud he was of them and to show off pictures of his new grandson.  He loved them both very much.

As a kid, and into adulthood, he enjoyed being around his siblings and cousins, and aggravating everyone, especially his sister, Vicki.  He was the jokester of the family.  He could sit for hours and tell stories about his childhood and the pranks he would play on everyone and always smiled and laughed while telling them.

Throughout his struggles, he always managed to be positive and keep a smile on his face. Through the good times and the bad, his family and friends were always there, and he will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd and Naomi Pennington, Raymond and Edna Taylor, H.A. (Son) and Christine Braswell, and Harold and Dorothy Goodson.

He leaves behind a daughter, Briana Pennington, and grandson Vander Pennington both of Crossett; his mother and step-father, Virginia and Buddy Goodson;  and father and step-mother, Jimmy Lloyd and Sue Pennington all of Crossett; two sisters, Vicki Pack (Kenneth) of Hot Springs, AR, and Catherine Childers of Crossett; one brother, Eddie Goodson (Charlotte) also of Crossett; along with a host of nieces, nephews, lots of friends, a brother in law he loved dearly, Tab Childers, and best friend, Corey Lindsey.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1st, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Kenneth Pack officiating followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Tab Childers, Hunter Childers, Heath Childers, Chance Sivils, Charlie Shingler, and Randy Abernathy.
