Jimmy Hubbard Obituary

Jimmy Larry Hubbard, 81, of Hamburg, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 7, 1944, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to James Garlin Hubbard and Alverne Burley Hubbard, Jimmy lived a life full of laughter, love, and devotion to those he held dear. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Crossett and occasionally attended Trinity Freewill Baptist Church in Hamburg.

Jimmy retired from Georgia-Pacific after 28 years of dedicated service as a journeyman pipefitter and general mechanic in maintenance and he was a proud member of the Lagle Lake Deer Camp.

He had a green thumb and kept an enormous garden, but his greatest joy was spending time outdoors with his family and friends-hunting, fishing, and camping. For 14 memorable years, the family camped at Lakeshore RV Park in Lake Village, where Jimmy served as an honorary park ranger for 12 years.

A true family man, Jimmy cherished moments shared with loved ones. Whether playing poker, pulling a practical joke, or telling stories around the fire, he lived life with a warm heart and a playful spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved daughter, Renee Hubbard.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 60 years, Pat Hubbard; daughters, Teresa McQueen (Eric) of Cedar Hill, TX, and Michelle Moffatt (Russell) of Hamburg, AR; sister, Gail Reed (Steve) of Crossett, AR; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service honoring Jimmy's life will be held at 11 :00 a.m., on Saturday, August 23rd, at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church, 803 Ashley Rd 95, in Hamburg, with Bro. Clayton Nichols officiating.  A private interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Crossett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston in Jimmy's memory.

Arrangements entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett, Arkansas.
