Jimmy David Mills

Jimmy David Mills, 74, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, February 21, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on January 26, 1952, to Jimmy Dell Mills, Jr. and Geraldine Vaughn Mills.

David was a man who truly enjoyed life. He loved fishing and hunting, especially cheering for the Razorbacks. He was talented in both metalwork and woodworking, always creating something with his hands. He enjoyed horses and loved his three fur babies, Vada, Bells, and Lulu.  David was known for kidding around with friends and family and loved being the jokester of the crowd, always bringing laughter wherever he went.

He was a faithful member of Church on the Rock, where he served as a board member.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Dell Mills, Jr. and Geraldine Vaughn Mills of Crossett; his grandson, Brady Jaxon Dye; and his sister, Cheryl Mills Montgomery.

Mr. Mills is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Janet Mills; his daughter, Brandy Dye (Neal) of Crossett; his son, David Tyler Mills (Caitlin) of Crossett; and his three granddaughters, Brynlee, Braylie, and Sylvi. He is also survived by his nephew and niece, Josh and Crissy Parrott; his father-in-law, Charles Strebeck; along with many other family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Medders Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 25, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Bob Whiteley officiating, followed by interment at Pinewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Burchfield, Greg Burchfield, David Moix, Stephen Halter, Galen Jerry, Keith Parker, and Gary Carpenter.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, at Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
