Just heard today of my old friends passing. Having grown up neighbors across a field from the Stevens family, I have many fond memories going back to when I was about 5 years old. Joe, and Jack were almost grown, but always made time for the youngest Poole as well as my older siblings. Jeff was close to our ages so he was always at our house. After farming, when he got on the big Cranes, we lost touch, as I moved to Texas and the years flew by. However, he was larger than life in my small 5 yr old eyes, and a mentor as I grew up. There is no telling how many countless other people he has touched in similar ways. Fond memories indeed. He will be missed, and my best to all his family.

Joe was a great friend and man. I will always remember the times we worked together and his ability to be kind to me and his teaching me even if on paper I was his boss. I do miss him. In all things may the Good LORD take a liken to him and you for ever!!

I will miss Joe!!

Terri I am so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. Even tho we know he is in a better place than we are, it is so difficult letting go. I pray you will be wrapped up in the love of God and your friends & family in the difficult days that lie ahead. You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers.
