John "JC" Coy Midwell

John (J.C.) Coy Midwell passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the age of 48, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Francis Medical Center after a short illness. He was born on September 16, 1977, in Dover Arkansas.

J.C. was a true people person with an outgoing personality and a friendly, personable nature that made him easy to know. He loved his children more than anything and took great pride in being their father. J.C. enjoyed a wide range of music and appreciated many different genres throughout his life. He dedicated 13 years of service as Sales Manager at Holt Auto Group in Crossett, Arkansas, where he built lasting relationships with both customers and coworkers.

J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Karen Curtis Midwell.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Tyler Midwell and Jakob Midwell; one bonus son, Cade Easter; and one daughter, Chloe Midwell. He is also survived by his sister, Shelia Hunter (Boyd); his brother, Jesse Midwell; four nieces, Shannon Hunter, Joanna DeFrancisco, Allie Hunter, and Janessa Midwell; and two nephews, Scottie Hunter and Kolton Midwell, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Phoenix Cemetery in Dover, Arkansas with Bro. Jim Davis officiating. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Highway 52 West, Crossett, Arkansas.
