Jon "Parrish" Griffin, 55, of Crossett, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Born in Monroe, LA, on December 13, 1968, Parrish was the son of Tom Albert and Maddie Charlene Griffin. He was a 1988 graduate of Mangham High School in Mangham, LA.
Parrish's career as a heavy equipment operator saw him most recently employed by H.L. Chapman Pipeline Construction. He was also a past employee of Georgia Pacific Plywood, Belt Pro Inc., and Irby Construction Company, contributing his skills and work ethic to each.
Known for his easy-going nature and sense of humor, Parrish was a beloved jokester who enjoyed sharing his passion for motorcycles. He also loved playing an occasional game of pool with his friends and cherished spending time with his family, who will remember him as a dedicated family man.
Parrish was preceded in death by his father, Tom Albert Griffin. He leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Amy Schriver Griffin of Crossett; two sons, Jonathan P. Griffin of Johnson City, TN, and Johnathan Lee Parker of Monroe, LA; five daughters, Amanda Fitzer and husband James of Haslet, TX, Kayla Warren and husband Daniel of Mammoth Springs, AR, Amanda Blake of Baskin, LA, Kirsten Leggett of Calhoun, LA, and Hannah Leggett of Zachary, LA; two brothers, Richard Griffin and Lance Griffin, both of Rayville, LA; one sister, Diane Farrar and husband Ricky of Bastrop, LA; eleven grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Medders Funeral Home of Crossett, with Brother Kenneth Neal officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Parrish's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
