Jordan Tyler Rice, 36, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He was born on July 6, 1989, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Billy Gordan Rice and the late Nikki Burke Rice.
Jordan was a man who lived life full throttle, with a big smile, a big laugh, and an even bigger heart. He was a proud member and former instructor of John 3:16 Ministries, where he found both strength and purpose in serving others. Known for his strong work ethic, he spent his years welding, working construction, and taking on many other various jobs that showcased his grit and determination.
Outdoors was where Jordan felt most at home—whether it was duck hunting, fishing, mud riding, or roping steers, he thrived on adventure. With a playful streak, Jordan loved to pester those he cared about, often being funny, sometimes hard-headed, but always deeply genuine.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nikki Burke Rice; his maternal grandparents, LaRon and Colen Burke; his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Lucille Rice; and his brother in-law, Randy Abraugh.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Billy Gordan Rice of Crossett, his sister, Kelsey Abraugh (Jonathan) of McGehee; his brother, BJ Rice of Fayetteville; and his beloved sons, Briar and Baylor Rice; along with nieces, Chapel Binns of McGehee and Lexie Bocanegra of Springdale; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 8th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52W, in Crossett, with Bro. Bobby Pennington and Bro. Guy Looper officiating, followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Terry Scott, Clint Wallace, Trevor Blankenship, Randall Meeks, Pete Meeks, Gavin Garza, and Justin Rhoades. Honorary pallbearers are Chase Meeks, and John 3:16 ministry team members.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 7, 2025, also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the John 3:16 Ministries in his memory.
