Kathy B. Lephiew, 75, of Crossett, passed away at her home on Friday, July 12, 2024. She was born in Watson, AR on August 31, 1948, to her parents, Woodrow and Lottie Mae Henley Beatty.
For over twenty years, Kathy worked at the Georgia Pacific Bleach Plant and was also a proud member of the Cooter Hunting Club, where she enjoyed hunting and connecting with the great outdoors.
Kathy loved to camp, take road trips to the mountains and beaches, and was an amazing cook whose skills in the kitchen were well known among her family and friends. Her home was always open to others, where delicious aromas and lively conversations were always abundant, and she loved nothing more than inviting people over to share a meal.
Known for her driven and headstrong nature, Kathy was outspoken and never hesitated to stand up for what she believed in. Her caring personality and ability to connect with others made her a cherished friend to many.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Aubrey “Buddy” Lephiew; one daughter, Belinda Jo Lephiew-Matthews; three brothers, Fred, Sterling, and Gary Lynn Beatty; and one sister, Angela Gale Beatty.
She is survived by one son, Danny Lephiew (Angela) of Crossett; four brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Johnny, and Rockey Beatty; and four sisters, Shelby Kibbey, Shirley Hackney, Dina Hamm (Leon), and Jo Taunton (Rickey); along with three grandsons, Peyten McNiece (Hali), and Hayden Matthews both of Crossett, and Cody Lephiew of Louisiana; one granddaughter, Brittney Rice (Chazz) of Crossett; and eight great-grandchildren, Kyle, Olivia, Bailey Jo, Clare, Ella, Aubrey, Swayze, and Huxley.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, July 15th, at the Arkadelphia Cemetery in West Crossett, with Bro. Mike Chain, officiating. Pallbearers are Peyten McNiece, Hayden Matthews, Cody Lephiew, Jeremy Taunton, Dave Hamm, and Larry Threet.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:00 a.m., Monday, at the cemetery prior to the service.
