Kenneth Wayne Brantley, Jr., 29, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Ashley County Medical Center. He was born on August 9, 1992, was a lifelong resident of Crossett, and a 2010 graduate of Crossett High School.
For several years, Kenneth worked for the Cando Railroad, formerly RJ Corman, as a train engineer.
His free time consisted of playing video games, hanging out with “Midas,” his pit bull, playing with his nephew, who he adored, and visiting with his cousins.
Kenneth was a quiet, gentle soul who loved his family immensely, especially his mama.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Brantley, Sr, and his aunt, Kiki Smith.
He leaves behind his mother, Eleanor Langford Ivory of Crossett; and five siblings, Kenyon Brantley of Fort Carson, CO, Daylon Manning, and Desmine Manning, both of Crossett, Kenneth Wayne Brantley, III of Arlington, TX, and Lavon Ivory, also of Crossett; along with one nephew, Kingston Manning; two special cousins, Kashunna Wilson, and Kalandra Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, and other cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett with Rev. Taci Gilliam, officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 p.m., Thursday, at Medders Funeral Home.
