Lana Ebarb Obituary

Lana Gale Ebarb, 77, of Crossett, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at her home.  She was born on May 17, 1944 and was a 1961 graduate of Ventura High School in Ventura, California.

Lana worked as a bookkeeper for Ideal True Value for several years before becoming a medical transcriptionist and working from home.

She was extremely crafty, painting bowls, sewing, cross-stitching, and quilting.  It was her love of quilting that led her to founding a quilting club in Crossett.  Lana also enjoyed canning, was an avid reader, and a fabulous cook.  Cherry pie and potato salad were two of her family’s favorites.

Lana was a beloved mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly, but most of all, she loved the Lord and sharing the gospel with others.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip “Calvin” Ebarb; one son, Donald Roy Ebarb; her father, Ray McMullen; and mother and stepfather, Robert and Dorothy Smith Gates.

Lana is survived by two sons, Phillip Ebarb (Suzi), of Crossett, and Ronald Ebarb (Rosie) of Mentone, CA; along with an “extra” son, Brad Grice, of Texas; eight grandchildren, Brianna Ebarb Houston, Ashlynn Grace Ebarb, Tiffany Sawicki, Donny Ebarb, Jessica Ebarb, Cody Ebarb, Conner Ebarb, and Ashley Ebarb and seven great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Houston, Mason Sawicki, Mitchell Sawicki, Marshall Sawicki, Ezra Ebarb, Hudson Ebarb, and Axel Ebarb.

A Memorial Service is pending and will be scheduled at a later date.
