Lee Edward Allen, 76, of Crossett, passed away, Friday, July 10, 2020, in Little Rock. He was born on May 19, 1944, to his parents, Thomas L. Allen and Linnie Marie Calhoun, in Monticello, Arkansas.
After graduating from Drew Central High School in 1962, Lee moved to Crossett and volunteered at the Crossett Rescue Unit.
He also worked for Georgia Pacific and, after 42 years, retired as a maintenance mechanic.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Otis and Bobby Allen; and one sister, Dois Willis.
Survivors include his two daughters, Marie Albin (Dewayne), and Tina Jones; three grandchildren, Carol Davis (Jason), Catheryn Cuevas (Ben), and Jonathan Jones; six great-grandchildren, Makayla, Gracie, and Nathan Davis, Hunter Jones, and Gavyn and Grady Cuevas; and one sister, May Sawyer.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Pleasant Springs Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Lemons, officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W Crossett.
Medders Funeral Home is complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor funerals and visitations to a capacity of 66% or 100 guests. All attendees must provide and wear a face mask upon entering and comply with social distancing and sanitizing guidelines. Those that are considered high risk, running fever, or have been recently exposed to someone positive with COVID-19 are encouraged to stay home to protect themselves and others.
