Leslie Jo (Robinson) Mixon

Leslie “Jo-Jo” Mixon, 57, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023.  She was born in Crossett, Arkansas, on February 23, 1965, to her parents, Sonny and Pat Walker Robinson, and was a 1983 graduate of Crossett High School.

Jo was a fun-loving and caring daughter, sister, and aunt who had an undeniable connection to nature and all its beauty.  Watching the eagles soar, playing with her precious fur babies, and watching over her goats and other critters brought harmony to her life.  A feeling of warmth that could only be provided by God himself.  In return for such solace, she enjoyed working in her yard and planting trees for the squirrels to enjoy, whom she often referred to by name.  She was also a lover of Indian culture with an innate bond to the history and beauty of Indian customs and a special admiration for the artistic style.

Jo, affectionately called Jo-Jo, by her cousins, loved her family dearly.  She was a strong-willed, very protective “mother hen” to her baby sister and her beloved nieces and nephews, whom she spoiled beyond measure.

She is preceded in death by her two grandmothers, Vivian J. Walker and Mary Breedlove, and her grandfather, Joe Robinson.

She leaves behind her parents, Sonny and Pat Robinson; and two sisters, Kim Robinson and Nikki Stanley, all of Crossett; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, February 9th, at Crossroads Cemetery with Bro.  Mike Griffith officiating.  Pallbearers are Jed Bishop, Mike Mills, Terry Mills, Chance Ziegler, Alan Wood, and Lance Wood.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Thursday, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Crossett Canine Rescue.
