Lillie Mae Sworn, 94, of Crossett, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She was born in Bonita, Louisiana on December 4, 1927, to her parents James Eli and Minnie Dorsey Herman and since 1969, was a faithful member of the Davis Memorial Church of God In Christ. Lillie Mae was devoted to her church and served graciously on the Davis Memorial Usher Board until her health declined.
She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower beds, babysitting children, cooking, and sewing, but baiting a hook and catching fish brought her the most pleasure.
Lillie Mae was a kind gentle soul with a big heart and an even bigger love for her family and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, George Sworn; two brothers, Green Boyd, and Jim Boyd; and one sister.
She leaves behind two daughters, Juanita Butler and Vivian Sworn both of Crossett; and one son, Leroy Sworn (Maudie) of Little Rock; along with five bonus children, George Sworn, Jr. of Houston, TX, and Ellis Sworn, and Olla Mae Bentley (Ricky) all of Bastrop, LA, Melanie King Lewis (Richard) of Sherwood, AR, and Rahmel King of Maumelle, AR; two grandchildren, Akquilla Golatt (Maurice), and Patrick Sworn; two great-grandchildren, Mya Ferguson, and Maurnay Golatt; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19th, at the Davis Memorial Church of God In Christ, 300 N Virginia Street, in Crossett, with Rev. Leroy Sworn, officiating, followed by interment at Westview Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
