Linda Ruth Shumpert

Linda Ruth Shumpert, 60, of Crossett, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.  She was born on February 16, 1962, to her parents Bill and Lois Weaver Shumpert, was a Baptist by faith, and a former member of Temple Baptist Church of Crossett.

Linda worked for eighteen years as a clerk at JC Penney’s in Monroe, Louisiana until her recent retirement.

She loved clothes and enjoyed shopping.  At Christmas time, she always had gifts for all the children in the family whom she adored.  Linda was quite generous, but diligent in finding the bargains and enjoyed all family get togethers and holidays.

Along with her parents she is proceeded in death by one brother William “Billy” Shumpert, III.

She leaves behind two brothers, Tommy Shumpert (Janelle) of Crossett, and David Shumpert of Dewitt, AR; along with two nieces, Karen Floyd (James), and Angela Johnston (Brian); two nephews, Joseph Shumpert, and Jeffery Carey; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives.

Medders Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
