Lois "Dwayne" Sharpley Obituary

Lois “Dwayne” Sharpley, 57, of Crossett, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Arkansas.  He was born on August 5, 1964, to his parents, Lois and Peggy Thompson Sharpley, and born again on Monday, February 7, 2022, after accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Dwayne was a true outdoorsman.  By trade, he was a retired heavy equipment operator, but in his free time, he enjoyed squirrel and deer hunting, listening to great blues musicians, and dancing.  He also loved horses and taking four-wheeler rides with his family and friends.  He was a skilled mechanic who could fix any type of motor and a friend that would do anything for anybody.

He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Carolyn Graves Sharpley; two daughters, Debbie Sharpley of Bossier City, LA, and Erica Graves Carpenter (Richard) of Crossett; three sons; Lois Dwayne Sharpley, Jr. of Bossier City, LA, Joshua Graves (Kali) of Crossett, and Eric Graves (Maitlyn) of Guy, AR; along with one stepson, Stephen Ware of Hamburg; and fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 15th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Richard West, officiating.
