Marion Michelle Bowles, 49, of Crossett, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her home. She was born in Big Springs, Texas on May 3, 1971, and raised in Okinawa, Japan. In 1989, she graduated from Kadena High School and later moved to Crossett.
She was a certified EMT at Rescue 3 in Luray, VA for fifteen years and an active member of the Defense Force of Virginia for many years.
Michelle enjoyed watching anime, assembling model planes, and especially spending quality time with her grandchildren who were her world. She loved rock music but was also a huge fan of Dolly Parton and classic country. She was an animal lover and had a special love for animals that no one else liked or wanted.
Michelle was reserved and quiet, but once she felt comfortable, she would be your best friend. Her heart was big, and she graciously showed it by giving birthday gifts to everyone. She was a proud member of the Delta Day Treatment Center where she made many lifelong friends and she had more unofficial adopted children than anyone.
She is preceded in death by her former husband, Neal Bowles. Her survivors include her three children, Kimberly Wheeler and husband, Weston, of Crossett, Brad “Bubba” Bailey of Virginia, and Richard Bowles and wife, Kassidy, of Crossett; one sister, March Katheryn Shult and husband, Cam, of Utah; six grandchildren, Dane Wheeler, Remington Bailey, Andreaux Prince, and Henry, Nora, and Willa Bowles; along with one special friend, Marty; and a host of many other friends.
Her family will be having their own Memorial Service in her honor.
