Mark Lawson Cater, 64, of Wilmar, passed away peacefully on August 14,2024 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born on July 5, 1960 to his parents, Richard Samuel Cater, Sr. and Robbie Jean Lawson Cater.
Mark was a former Roll Coater Operator at Burlington Industries until its closing, and most recently worked at Baptist Health Medical Center – Monticello in Environmental Services. He will be remembered as an outgoing person, who loved his family, and an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt for everything. He was a 1978 graduate of Drew Central High School and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard Samuel Cater, JR., and Joseph Young Cater.
Mark leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Sherrie Cater of Wilmar; one son, Jerry Richard Cater ; and one daughter, Amanda Meier (Darrell)), all of Monticello; a sister, Deborah Jean Wyckoff (Wes) of Caterville; a brother, Timothy Edward Cater of Monticello and one granddaughter, Hailee Price.
