Pauline Spratt Radford, 93, of Crossett, passed to her eternal life on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 8, 1930, in the Whites Community to Maneriva Gilliam and Herbert Spratt. She was a faithful member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the Women’s Mission Ministry, Sunday School Class #2 and the Dean Neal Bible Class.
Pauline’s most notable pastimes were her exceptional cooking skills, including cakes, pies, puddings and other delightful entrees, holidays and Sunday dinners were especially memorable. She also loved watching NBA basketball, reading, completing word search puzzles and watching game shows.
Pauline worked at the Crossett Hospital as a custodian for several years until her retirement and was a foster grandparent at the Crossett Learning Center for approximately ten years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Spratt; mother, Maneriva Gilliam-Williams; stepfather, Charlie Williams; one son, Eddie Williams and one daughter, Ann Radford and four grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by a sister Helen Girtman Tucker, who was adopted by Pauline’s mom and stepfather.
Left to cherish her memory are a son, Lee Clemond Radford Jr. (Nola Taylor Radford) of Knoxville, TN; a daughter, Virginia Lemmons, of Omaha Nebraska; and one daughter in law, Patricia Williams (Eddie); seven grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; a special niece and nephew, Lorraine and Jesse Radford, Jr.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21st, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Michelangelo Watkins, officiating, followed by interment at Ryles Cemetery in Crossett.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 20th at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, Crossett, AR 71635
