Peggy Jean West, age 86, of Crossett, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. She was born on November 9, 1936, in Crossett to her parents, Howard and Gleneva Josey Gulledge, and was a faithful member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church.
After fifty years of service, Peggy retired as the Vice President of First National Bank of Crossett and continued the close bond with her bank retiree friends whom she had lunch with weekly.
She was known for her loving and caring heart and outgoing personality. Playing cards and traveling with her friends always brought her joy, but spending time with her grandchildren and great-grands made her life complete.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Gleneva Josey Gulledge; her father and mother-in-law, Gus and Hilda West; her husband of fifty-nine years, Harold West; one brother, John Ed Gulledge; and one daughter-in-law, Kathy West.
She is survived by her son, Mark West of Mountain Home, AR; three grandchildren, Eric Willis (Rebekah) of Shreveport, LA, Mary Elizabeth Vasiloff (Eric) of Fayetteville, AR, and Mark West, Jr., also of Mountain Home; along with three great-grandchildren, Luke Willis, Lydia Willis, and Isla Anne Vasiloff; two brothers, William Gulledge (Gayle) and Michael Gulledge (Donna), all of Crossett; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28th, at Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 912 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, in Crossett, with Bro. Jeremy Mills, officiating, followed by interment at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Josh Hartley, Matt Townley, Carl Sivils, Dennis Maxwell, Brian Holt, and Allen Brewer. Honorary pallbearer is Buddy Dean.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in North Crossett.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Local Gideons Camp.
