Phillip Adrian McDonald, 81, of Crossett died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at the Crossett Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Hamburg, Arkansas on July 7, 1935, to his parents, Claude Adrian and Verdell McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a Baptist and served honorably in the U.S. Army. As a career, he drove trucks for many years which allowed him to travel and see the country along with parts of Canada. His employers included Georgia Pacific, Wales Transportation, and Gwin Logging. In his free time, he loved to fish, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his kids.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Phillip Adrian McDonald, Jr.; two brothers, Jimmy and Garvin McDonald; and three sisters, Dorothy McDonald, Jean Carpenter, and Linda Barnett.
He is survived by one daughter, Shelia McDonald of Lake Village; two sons, Robert McDonald of Louisville, KY and James “Scott” McDonald of Crossett; two brothers, Billy McDonald and wife Gursta and Gary McDonald both of Hamburg; caregiver, Mae McDonald of Crossett; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
