Randall Wilson

Randall Wilson, 88, of Crossett, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 13, 1937, to Dea and Francis Stover Wilson.

Randall was a lifelong man of faith and a devoted member of First Assembly of God Church in Crossett, where he began attending as a young boy in 1946. He proudly served his country in the Arkansas National Guard from 1955 until 1963, completing basic training at Fort Chaffee and tank training at Fort Knox. Randall also dedicated more than four decades of faithful service to the Bemis Bag Company, where he began his career in January 1957 and remained until his retirement in February 2000 after 43 years of employment.

A man of deep faith, unwavering patriotism, and genuine kindness, Randall lived by three guiding priorities: the Lord, his family, and his country. He was known for his tender heart, easygoing nature, and generous spirit. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or the thoughtful birthday and anniversary cards he faithfully sent to fellow church members each year, Randall found simple ways to let others know they were loved and remembered.

Randall found joy in the outdoors and in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed tending his tomato plants, spending time on his zero-turn mower, and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks as one of their most devoted fans.

Gifted with a talent for writing, Randall often expressed his love through heartfelt poems written for the love of his life, Callie, and thoughtful letters shared with family and friends. His love for storytelling and his way with words earned him the affectionate nickname, "John Boy."

As the youngest of his siblings, Randall often spoke with quiet confidence about the hope that sustained him throughout his life. Looking forward to the promise of eternity, he would often say, "I look forward to meeting them again because they are waiting for me on the other side of the veil." Those words reflected the steadfast faith that guided him each day and brought him peace until the very end.

Randall is preceded in death by his parents, Dea and Francis Stover Wilson; and his brothers, Terrell Wilson, Clifton Wilson, and Dewane Wilson.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Callie Hanson Wilson; his son, Rodney Wilson (Miyako) of Buford, Georgia; his sister, Gerlene Wilson Weaver of LaPlace, Louisiana; his cherished grandchildren, Hana Wilson and Maya Wilson; and his loyal fur baby, Sam.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2nd, at the First Assembly of God Church, 1500 S. Parkway Dr, in Crossett, with Pastor Kenneth Neal, officiating, followed by interment at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers are J.W. Floyd, Cecial Walthall, Jimmy Stell, Dewey Ward, Jerry White and Albert Mills.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at the church prior to the service.
