Richard William Weatherly, Jr.

Richard William Weatherly, Jr., 56, of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024.  He was born in Crossett, AR on March 20, 1968, to his parents, Richard, Sr. and Betty Ann Nutt Weatherly and was a 1986 graduate of Hamburg High School.

Richard worked in construction as a pipe welder for over thirty years and was a friend to all.

Whether it was hunting, fishing, camping under the stars, participating in rodeos, or tearing through the wilderness on four-wheelers, Richard found his true joy amidst the splendor of nature. His enthusiasm for these activities was infectious, sharing countless unforgettable experiences with family and friends, who had the pleasure of joining him on his adventures.

Richard’s family and friends meant the world to him.  He had a heart as vast as the rugged landscapes he roamed and his generous free spirit knew no bounds, always ready to lend a helping hand to a buddy in need.

Cooking was also one of Richard’s passions.  Whether he was grilling up a feast in his backyard or preparing a meal for a special occasion, his cooking was a true reflection of his creativity and love for his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph (JR) and Effie Mae Weatherly and Bernice and Roger Nutt, Sr.

He leaves behind one son, Noah and wife Jessica of Prairie Grove, AR; and one daughter, Lexi of Crossett; along with his parents, Richad, Sr. and Betty Ann of Roland, AR; one sister, Seleta Yearian of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Norah and Westyn; his three beloved dogs; and a host of friends who considered him a brother.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett.

Noah is following through with his dad’s wishes to be cremated, there will be no services.
