Richard "Dickie" Gulledge Obituary

Richard Wayne "Dickie" Gulledge, 79, of Crossett, passed away on June 8, 2026, in Little Rock. Born on October 13, 1946, Dickie was a proud 1965 graduate of Crossett High School, a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Crossett, and a veteran of the Army National Guard.

Dickie worked over forty years with Georgia-Pacific, in the maintenance department before retiring in 2009.

He loved spending time with family and friends, especially on the golf course. A longtime member of Prairie Country Club, he enjoyed countless rounds of golf and the friendships that came with them. His love for the game ran so deep that when he wasn't playing golf, he was watching it on television. Through his years of involvement with the Beef Trail Hunting Camp, including serving as its president, Dickie formed lasting friendships and enjoyed the fellowship that meant so much to him. He also enjoyed traveling and making memories with his family.

With a quick wit, an infectious smile, and a personality larger than life, Dickie never met a stranger. He had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, and his kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him. One of his favorite daily routines was gathering with the "Andy's Coffee Crew," where friendships were strengthened over coffee, conversation, laughter, and plenty of storytelling.

Above all, Dickie loved the Lord, loved his family and friends, and lived life with a grateful heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Hazeldene Trotter Gulledge, and leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty-seven years, Bonnie Williams Gulledge; one son, Scott Gulledge (Pam) of Crossett; one daughter, Colleen Powell (Owen) of Berryville, AR; and one sister, Gayle Maloch (Jim) of Little Rock; along with four grandchildren, Cody Powell, Nick Gulledge, Anna Beth Fitch (Austin), and Kate Williams (Haydon); three great-grandchildren, Baylor and Sophie Fitch, and James Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 12th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett with Keith Carter, officiating, followed by interment at Rawls Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Nick Gulledge, Cody Powell, Edgar Chesser, Mike Young, Hubert Riley, Michael Young, and Randy Evans.
