Ricky Roland Clark, 65, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Crossett, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025. He was born on February 9, 1960, to his parents, Roland and Doris Bonds Clark and was a proud member of the Crossett High School Class of 1978.
After high school, Ricky began work as a welder and steadily moved into management. In 2008, he became a Project and Construction Manager at Fuel Cell Energy in Danbury, Connecticut, where he and his wife Jennie lived until returning to Bella Vista in 2019. Later that year, he became a consultant with Oxford Global Resources and retired in February 2024.
Ricky’s daughter, Kelsey Ashton, was the pride and joy of his life. He loved sharing stories of her dance recitals, their adventures together, and her impressive tomato-picking skills. Watching her earn her PharmD from ULM was one of his greatest joys. He loved his “Tator Tot” and cherished their bond.
A loyal Arkansas Razorbacks fan, Ricky rarely missed a game—whether it was football, basketball, or baseball—especially with Jennie by his side. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, and piddling in the yard. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandsons, teaching them about faith, life, and the values he held dear.
Ricky and Jennie found each other later in life and quickly discovered their shared love for God, family, adventure, and the Arkansas Razorbacks was no coincidence. Their fifteen years together were filled with the type of deep connection others long for, a true gift and a glimpse of heaven on earth.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Shelby Dean Clark and Phillip Ronald Clark; one nephew, William Christopher Clark; his mother in-law, Nellie Harvey; and two stepsons, Johnathan Watson and Bradley Duncan.
He leaves behind his loving wife of fourteen and a half years, Jennie Harvey Clark of Bella Vista; and one daughter, Kelsey Clark Hoefer (Richard) of Shreveport, LA; along with stepson, Zachary Watson of Bella Vista; two grandsons, Jacob Ryan Watson and Dylan Liddell Watson; niece, Ashley Clark Snyder of Crossett with great-nieces, Liberty Kidwell (Kyle) and Brooklyn Snyder and great-nephew, Caston Kidwell; one nephew, Phillip Scott Clark (Kristi) of Hamburg with great-nephews, Taelor and Carson Clark; one sister in-law, Johna Harvey Gilbert; and father in-law, John Wesley Harvey both of Bella Vista; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 15th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Keith Boseman, officiating, followed by interment at Carlock Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jacob Watson, Dylan Watson, Glen Hackelton, Tim Ballard, Zachary Watson, and Rocky Betts. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Sivils and the CHS Class of 1978.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
