Robert Daniel Hickman

Robert Daniel Hickman, 45, of Crossett, formerly of Garland, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was born on September 24, 1979, and attended Freedom Ministries Church in Crossett.

Robert worked for many years at Steve's Body & Frame, where he took pride in working alongside his father in the painting department.

As a child, Robert was a Cub Scout, and his sense of adventure stayed with him throughout his life. He enjoyed cross-country motocross and BMX, and his love for the thrill of the ride never faded. He also had a passion for NASCAR and Indy car racing, movies, music, history, and guns, and was always eager to dive into one of his many interests. In particular, he enjoyed studying end times prophecies, which fascinated him deeply.

His happiness and quirky off-key sense of humor brought joy to those around him. He was a gentle, loving and kind-hearted man who adored animals and cherished his family, his hobbies, and the simple pleasures in life.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Norris Hickman, and one nephew, Jude Netherland.

He leaves behind one daughter, Fathom Danielle Hickman; his father, Steve Hickman; and one sister, Fallon Netherland (JB) all of Crossett; and one brother, Jared Hickman of Little Rock; along with one niece, Kelsi Hickman; one nephew, Jace Netherland; and his former wife and friend, Hester Hickman all of Crossett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23rd, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Jeremy Mills, officiating.  Honorary friends are Matt Stone, Aaron Shepherd, Mathew Wiseman, and Danny Oznick.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
