Robert Dale Hill SR.

Robert (Bobby) Dale Hill SR., 78, died Saturday, September 12, 2020, at his home. He was born on May 28, 1942, in Lacey, AR. Bobby was a resident of Hamburg for over 50 years, he served honorably in the Arkansas National Guard, was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, a retired truck driver from Morris Transportation, and a retired fireman from the Hamburg Fire Department.

Bobby was a family man who enjoyed his time with his beloved grand and great grandchildren.  His hobbies included spending time mowing his lawn and canning the things which he grew in his garden.  He also loved the outdoors and going hunting and fishing with his son, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lucille Bays.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sylvia Hill; a son Dale Hill and wife, Jennifer, of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Amanda Carter of Slidell, LA, Elena Pennington of Fountain Hill, Lee Hill of Gilbert, LA, and Mary Beth Wood of Hamburg; three great-grandchildren, Bentley Hill Elmore, Greyson Carter, and Shaeffer Hill.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 14th at the Lacey Cemetery with Pastor James Miller, officiating. Pallbearers are Mark Morris, Steve Cypert, Danny Rial, Alan Riels, David Thomas, and Wayne Fox. Honorary Pallbearers are his past co-workers at Morris Transportation and the past and present members of the Hamburg Fire Department.
