Robert “Bo” Christopher Howard, 50, of Crossett, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at his home. He was born in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, on October 20, 1971, and was a member of Cloverdale Assembly of God Church.
Bo was a highly skilled electrician by trade and for the last few years, worked for the Interfor Lumber Company. He was a hard dedicated worker whose most common saying was, “working on it, boss”. Other employers include Georgia Pacific, West Fraser, PotlachDeltic, and Seadrill, where he had the opportunity to work offshore in Brazil.
He grew up in the southern most area of Louisiana, in the small town of Venice and was a faithful New Orleans Saints and LSU Tiger fan by birth. After migrating north and falling in love with a Razorback fan. Bo eventually hung up his purple jersey for a red one and quickly learned the proper way to call the hogs.
He was quite the “Jack of all trades” and could fix just about anything, often helping others without accepting any reward. He was a selfless, good-hearted, independent, and funny man with a smidgen of stubbornness and hard-headedness on the side.
Bo was just a simple man who loved his country and enjoyed the country life such as fishing, boating, gardening, raising chickens, and just hanging out in his shop. Bo was happy as long as there were crawfish to boil or meat to be smoked, and friends and family to share it with, but getting slobbery hugs and kisses from his dogs was by far, the highlight of his day.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joel Howard; his mother, Sharon DeLess; his grandparents, WJ and “Shug” Dosser; and an infant son.
He leaves behind, his wife and best friend, Lisa Howard of Crossett; one son, Laken Clark of Cabot, AR; his stepfather, Mark DeLess of Crossett; three stepchildren, Amanda Hall of Conway, AR, Mallory Braswell (Tommy) of Queen City, TX, and Garrett Self (Paulina) of Crossett; along with one half-sister, Mackey Habisreitinger, of South Louisiana; two step-sisters, Mandy Lee (Phillip) of Crossett, and Heather DeLess of Sacramento, CA; eight grandchildren, Gabe, Kayslee, Aiden, Sailor, Ian, Alex, Sutton, and Haisley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23rd, at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, 132 Ashley Rd 15, in Crossett with Pastor David Williams, and Bro. D.J. Bussell, officiating, followed by interment at Stevenson Cemetery in Beekman, LA under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Tommy Braswell, Bill Rice, Garrett Self, Casey Pahal, Sean Maggio, and Laken Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be his friends and co-workers from Interfor.
