Ronald "Kevin" Sipes, 55, of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on November 16, 2024. Born on July 23, 1969, in El Dorado, Arkansas, Kevin was a lifelong resident of Crossett and a member of the Crossett First Church of God.
A hardworking roofer by trade, Kevin contributed his skills to various companies and was also known for his dedication to countless side jobs. Beyond work, he could be found enjoying music, casting a fishing line, reading a good Louis L’Amour book, or just embracing the great outdoors.
Kevin was an example of kindness, love, and generosity to all who knew him. Despite the challenges he faced, his genuine spirit and sincerity touched everyone around him. His family and friends were the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished them with all his heart.
He leaves behind his parents, Lawrence “Chic” and Jerrye Rowell Sipes, of Crossett; one daughter, Shianne Nicole Sipes (Chad) of Panama City, FL; one brother, Keith Sipes (Jamie) of Crossett; and his sister and best friend, Kimberly Sipes, also of Crossett; along with two grandchildren, Nyasia and Aiden; two nieces, Alana and Hayley; one nephew, Bryson; and a host of family and friends who loved him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, November 22nd, at the Crossett First Church of God, 1501 Main St., in Crossett, with Pastor Mike Neal, officiating, followed by interment at the Union Hill Cemetery in Hermitage, AR, under the direction of Medders Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers are Scott Doss, Brad Doss, Jimi Ellis, Donald Holland, Barry Barnett, Larry Layton, and Barry Strebeck, with Barry Womble as an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m., on Friday, at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local Gideon’s Camp or the Crossett First Church of God in Kevin’s honor.
