Ronny Day, 60, of Arkadelphia, formerly of Crossett, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Born on January 23, 1964, in Monroe, Louisiana, he graduated from Crossett High School in 1982.
Ronny excelled as an IT technician, ultimately finding success as a self-employed professional. Known for his ingenuity and strong work ethic, he inspired those around him with his leadership and determination. A devoted father and grandfather, Ronny worked tirelessly to provide for his family, teaching his children the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness.
An outdoor enthusiast, Ronny loved fishing, kayaking, hunting, and riding four-wheelers with his dogs. His talents extended to carpentry and handyman work, with an uncanny ability to repair or create almost anything.
A passionate fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys, Ronny also loved coaching his sons’ baseball teams, sharing his love of sports and life lessons.
Ronny's warmth and generosity were unmatched. He had a knack for turning strangers into friends and made everyone feel instantly at home with his infectious laugh, radiant smile, and vibrant personality.
Above all, Ronny valued God, his family, who he adored, and the great outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his father, William, Day; his mother Janet Risinger Akin; and his twin brother, Donnie Day.
He leaves behind his three children, Shawn Hebert of Monticello, AR, Andrew Day of Arkadelphia, and Lyndsey Moyers (Damien) of Portland; his girlfriend, Amber James of Arkadelphia and her children, Ava, Isabella, and Zane; and two sisters, Teri Guess (Dana) of Oak Grove, LA, and Gina Akin of Halifax, PA; along with five grandchildren, Rylan, Alyssa, Roman, Maibry, and Will; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 29th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Buddy Kinney, officiating, followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Andrew Day, Shawn Hebert, Damien Moyers, Bodie Ozment, Tolland Weems, and Paul Weems. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Jones, Stan Shepherd, and Renie Scott.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home prior to the service.
