Sally Meadows Obituary

Sally Alene Clark Meadows peacefully entered her heavenly home on February 20th at the age of 88. She was born on June 6, 1936, in Crossett, Arkansas, to Clara Ann Noble Clark and Herbert Lester Clark.

A longtime resident of North Crossett, Sally was deeply cherished by her family, church family, and many friends in the community.

In her early years, Sally had a love for travel and called many places home, including Columbia and New Orleans, Louisiana. She considered New Orleans her second home, where she lived until Hurricane Katrina. There, she found joy in attending church with her family and close friends. After the hurricane, she returned to Crossett, where she treasured time with loved ones and worshiped at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church until moving to The Woods in Monticello.

Sally was a beautician in Monroe, Louisiana, for many years and held various jobs throughout her life. Above all, she was a devoted homemaker and an exceptional cook who delighted in preparing special treats for her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a natural talent for decorating and interior design, adding thoughtful touches to her home for every season.

She also enjoyed reading, watching fashion and design programs, and following suspenseful TV shows like CSI. A true social butterfly, Sally found great joy in spending time with family and friends. The holiday season was especially dear to her—she loved selecting the perfect gifts for those she loved.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her son Herbert Lane Meadows, and her sisters Nancy Clark Johnson and Clara Ann Clark Rowton.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Nickolas Lane Meadows and wife Kayla of Austin, Texas, and Golden Chance Meadows of Crossett, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Elzey Lane, Ezra James, and Enzo Ari Meadows of Austin, Texas.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to The Woods in Monticello and Home Hospice Care for their kindness and exceptional care during this time. Care entrusted to Medders Funeral Home. No services are to be held at this time.

In honor of Sally, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, the Breast Cancer Research Society, or Cloverdale Assembly of God Church in North Crossett.
