Sandra Reed Obituary

Sandra Kaye Reed, 75, of Crossett, passed away on March 21, 2020, at the Savannah Grand of West Monroe.  She was born in Bastrop, LA on April 19, 1944, to her parents, Bonner and Geneva Tubbs Day.  She was a 1962 graduate of Bastrop High School and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.  For 23 years, she was a member of the A&N Electric family until her retirement in 2008.

Sandy enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, and decorating.  Christmas was not just a holiday to her, but a hobby.  She loved giving gifts to everyone, for no particular reason, other than just giving part of her heart to someone she loved.

She was very reserved and quiet, but she had a great sense of humor and loved her family, especially her granddaughters.

Along with her parents, Bonner Benoit Day and Geneva Tubbs Day; she is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald C. Reed.

Her survivors include one daughter, Angie Reed Adams (Scott) of West Monroe, LA; one son, Michael Cain Reed (Mitzi) of Eros, LA; two granddaughters, Aliza Reed also of Eros, and Brooke Wisecarver of West Monroe; one brother, Jerry Day of Durango, CO; and one special nephew, Timothy Day of New Jersey.

Due to the current CDC recommendations and cemetery conditions a private family service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Medders Funeral Home with Pastor Leslie Stephens, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hope at Home organization.

Services entrusted to Medders Funeral Home of Crossett.
