Sean Marshall McCormick, 40, of Dumas, passed away at his home on August 11, 2020. He was born on November 5, 1979, in Crossett, Arkansas, and was a 1998 graduate of Crossett High School. He attended Arkansas State University and eventually earned degrees in both Accounting and Computerized Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Sean was a member of the First Baptist Church and, for seven years, worked for the City of Dumas.
Sean was funny and could recite quotes straight from his favorite movies, often making others laugh with his quick wit and dry humor.
He was a people pleaser, very kind-hearted and sentimental, and loved his family and his beagle, Delilah, dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Scott McCormick, II, and Mary White McCormick.
He is survived by his brother, Wesley McCormick; and his nephew, Nicholas McCormick, both of Crossett; his aunts and uncles, Stacy and Gary Johnson of Crossett, Rose and Buster Sayger, also of Crossett, and Sarah and Phil Hensley of Cedar Creek, TX; along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
There will be no services at this time. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
