Shirley “Jane” Wallace, 82, of Crossett, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 26, 2023. She was born in Warren, Arkansas on January 26, 1941, to her parents, Herbert and Geraldine Watson Wardlaw and was a member of Beech St. Missionary Baptist Church.
Jane was a graduate of Warren High School and the University of Arkansas at Monticello where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education. For many years, Jane worked as a teacher for the Southeast Arkansas Co-op.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, and bowling, and was a self-taught pianist.
Jane was a talker and was very outspoken. She loved to tell stories about her childhood to her grandchildren whom she adored. She was strong-willed, very intellectual, and never met a stranger.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wallace, and her brother James Donale Wardlaw.
She leaves behind three daughters; Pam Kreamalmyer, Tammy Kilcrease (Monty) and JoAnn Frisby (Richard) all of Crossett; along with ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29th, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Donnie Dubose, officiating, followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Lance Kreamalmyer, Joshua Kilcrease, Bradley Wallace, Jay Sled, Dylan Avery, Stephen James Carter and Joshua Kilcrease, Jr.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at Medders Funeral Home.
