Steven Michael Ross, 70, of Crossett, passed away on December 4, 2025. He was born on October 13, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Edward and Phyllis Holtzel Ross.
Steven worked for many years as a truck and heavy equipment operator with Robbins Contractors, LARCO and most recently Pioneer Construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and steady dependability.
A true outdoorsman, Steven loved duck and deer hunting and never missed a chance to go fishing. He was also a loyal Razorback football fan, cheering on the Hogs throughout every season. Steven had a way of making friends wherever he went. He was outgoing, honest, and kind, with a dry sense of humor that could lighten any moment. Intelligent and curious, he was a history buff who enjoyed good conversations and learning something new.
Most of all, Steven was a family man. Helping others came naturally to him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and the kind of goodness that came straight from the heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Eric and Jeremy Ross and one brother, George Ross.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Julie Ross; his sister-in-law, Jammie Arch (Patrick) of Tulsa OK; one grandson, Hunter Ross of West Monroe, LA and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews and friends.
No services will be held at this time.
Medders Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.
