Sue Evelyn Johnson passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 20, 1949, in Crossett, Arkansas.
Sue was a woman of deep faith and a lifelong member of Meridian Baptist Church. She found great joy in working in her yard and caring for flowers. She faithfully taught and cared for children at the church on Wednesday nights, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives. Known for her kind and generous heart, Sue lovingly placed flowers throughout Licke Prairie Cemetery and was always looking out for others. She was a precious soul who cherished her family and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise Williams White; her loving husband, Mike Johnson; and two brothers, William Thomas White and Herman White.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michelle Mobley (Jimmy); her son, Wayne Johnson (Judy); one grandson, Heath Childers; one granddaughter, Grace Maxwell (Ean); one great-grandchild, Jagger Maxwell; one sister, Wanda Steen; and one brother, James Davis White. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Meridian Baptist Church, 4593 Ashley 703, Crossett, Arkansas, with Bro. Doug Hughes officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Lloyd, Britt Courson, Randy Smith, Henry Matthews, and Allen Jackson.
