Tammy Jean Fulmer, 54, of Crossett, passed away on December 12, 2023. She was born on November 10, 1969, in Portsmouth, VA, and grew up in Crossett. Tammy was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Tammy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the great outdoors. She had a special connection with nature and cherished moments spent on the Buffalo River with her family and friends.
An amazing cook, Tammy's gumbo was a family favorite, bringing warmth and comfort to those fortunate enough to savor it.
Her true passion, however, was horseback riding. Tammy eagerly anticipated the annual Crossett rodeo, where she could ride with her friends and revel in the exhilarating atmosphere. Her love for horses was evident in the bond she formed with her own.
A woman of faith, Tammy approached each day with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit of prayer. Her unwavering commitment to her beliefs was a source of strength and inspiration for those who knew her.
Tammy's love knew no bounds, especially when it came to her family. Her nieces and nephews affectionately called her "Nana," a testament to the special place she held in their hearts.
Known for her kindness and sweetness, Tammy was a friend to all. Her infectious laughter brought joy to those in her presence, and her generous spirit made her a pillar of support for those in need. Tammy was always there when you needed her, ready to lend a helping hand or provide a comforting word, even when her own health was deteriorating. She loved big and gave her all to those she held dear.
Along with her father, Lynn Russell Fulmer, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, H.L. and Bracy Maxwell Quimby, and Melvin Lee and Emma Mae Fulmer Overturf; one brother, Ronald Dewayne Burton; and her uncle and aunt, Bill and Cathy Graves.
