Tanner Kennedy Obituary

Tanner Jace Kennedy, 13, of Hamburg, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023.  He was born in Crossett, Arkansas, on June 1, 2010, attended Hamburg Jr. High School, and was a member of Culbertson Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA.

Tanner was a vibrant and active young soul who had a zest for life and enjoyed numerous activities such as hunting and fishing, riding his dirt bike, skating, drawing, gossiping with his sister, or just listening to music and hanging with his friends. Tanner's energy and enthusiasm was contagious, especially when playing baseball, basketball, and football.

He had a magnetic personality that shined brightly through his radiant smile and infectious laughter. His loving nature and overprotective instincts endeared him to friends and family alike, making him a cherished confidant and guardian.

As we mourn the untimely departure of Tanner, let us remember the laughter, the joy, and the warmth he brought into our lives. Though he may no longer be physically present, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to call him friend, family, or teammate.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tyke and Vicky Kennedy, Sam Watkins, and Leroy Hunter.

He leaves behind his mother, Tracy Kennedy; his two fathers, Warren King and wife, Tonya, and Stephen Hunter; four siblings, Bailey Kennedy, Stephen Lane, and Zach and Brent King; and stepsiblings, Savannah and Jesse Sivils; along with his Gaga, Toni Watkins; and an abundance of cousins and close friends that he considered family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 23rd, at Medders Funeral Home, 1564 Hwy 52 W, in Crossett, with Bro. Kelly Coleman, officiating, followed by interment at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Medders Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Josh Pollock, Edgar Cotton, Hunter Meeks, Zach King, Brody Smith, Barrett Smith, Beckett Smith, and Jimmy Ray Miller.  Honorary pallbearers are Brent King, John Wooten, Gary Hamilton, the Ashley County Sherriff’s Department, and the Panthers baseball team.
